1. Nyang’oma Kogelo: this is the home village of Mr. Barack Obama.sr the father of the US President Barack Obama. Members of his family still live here including Sarah Obama, who is the step grandma to the US leader
2. Dominion Farms: this is no doubt the company which currently employs the largest number of locals from Siaya. It is situated in the famous Yala Swamp.
3. Mbaga, Odiado, Akala, Regea and Nyambare hills are no doubt a good place for adventure. There are also largest rivers around Siaya County which are; R. Nzoia and R. Yala, they are the main sources of water for irrigation and domestic consumption in this county.
4. The Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Mausoleum in Bondo; this is a must visit stop for visitors in Siaya County. This mausoleum established in honor of the late Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, the first Vice President of Kenya is also a community based museum and an exhibition centre for heroes from the Luo community( the major tribe in Siaya county)
5. Siaya Municipal stadium in Siaya and Bondo University Sports grounds are some of the great sports facilities this county is proud to have.
